Marriage Foundations.

Preparing for marriage — and checking in once you're in it.

Most couples spend months planning a one-day ceremony and little time preparing for the marriage that follows. Marriage Foundations is a structured premarital program designed to help engaged and newlywed couples build a strong base before married life begins — with intentional follow-ups once they're living it.

The Program

How Marriage Foundations Works

Marriage Foundations includes four sessions before marriage, followed by two planned check-ins once married life is underway.

4

Sessions Before Marriage

Four focused premarital sessions covering the four foundations below.

1

Follow-Up at ~6 Months

A check-in roughly six months into married life to review how things are going.

1

Follow-Up at ~12 Months

A second check-in around the one-year mark to revisit what's working and what still needs attention.

The follow-ups aren't a bonus — they're built in. Preparation matters, but the real test of premarital work is how it holds up in daily married life. Planned check-ins give you a chance to come back, review, and adjust.

The Four Foundations

What You'll Explore Together

01

Foundation of Self

Who am I bringing into marriage?

Explore the patterns, history, expectations and assumptions each of you carries — before they quietly shape married life.

02

Foundation of Connection

How do we communicate and repair?

Build practical skills for everyday communication, handling disagreement, and finding your way back to each other after conflict.

03

Foundation of Covenant & Partnership

How do we function as a team?

Work through finances, roles, decision-making and how you function together as a partnership rather than two individuals sharing a house.

04

Foundation of the Future

What are we building together?

Clarify shared values, vision and direction — what you're working toward as a couple over the decades ahead.
